Shakespeare’s work The Winter’s Tale is a mix of comedy, tragedy, and romance that will appeal to all audiences. For those who are unfamiliar with this Shakespearean classic, “this is a cautionary tale of a jealous king, his wronged queen and the magic (sometimes literal) that brings them redemption.

Don’t expect your typical Shakespeare experience though. The Winter’s Tale at Warren Miller Performing Arts Center has been completely revamped to appeal to the Big Sky audience. Directed by Laura Savia, this  theatrical masterpiece is going to be a fresh, music-infused event that’s been “reimagined and brought to life expressly for the WMPAC stage.”

  2. Local and Regional Talent Play A Big Role - Milton Menasco of Bozeman will be on stage as the main musician. Big Sky local Henry Flach will perform alongside the Broadway stars in the show.
  3. WMPAC’s “Most Ambitious Show Ever” - The Winter’s Tale is the first time WMPAC has produced a professional theater show. According to WMPAC Artistic Director John Zirkle, “We are incredibly excited to announce that WMPAC will now be collaborating with broadway directors and star to produce new shows that will be played in Big Sky first.” This project will pave the way for two or more brand new high-end theater productions at WMPAC every year.
