On Christmas Eve, stop by Town Center for open skating at the Big Sky Resort Ice Rink in Town Center Park. Free skate is from 12:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. and supported by the Big Sky Skating and Hockey Association (BSSHA). Follow ice skating by heading to Big Sky Resort for a Christmas Eve buffet and its annual torchlight parade followed by music and fireworks. Christmas Eve events at Big Sky Resort are as follows:
5:00 pm: St. Joseph's Catholic Mass at Yellowstone Conference Center
5:30-9:00 pm: Christmas Eve Buffet
5:30-7:00 pm: Look for Santa around Big Sky Resort. He will be strolling around the resort with candy canes and a photographer from Chrystal Images.
5:30-6:00pm: Santa in the Summit Upper Lobby for pictures
6:00-6:40pm: Santa in the Plaza
6:40-7:00pm: Santa in Huntley Sunken Lobby
7:00 pm: Big Sky Christian Fellowship Service at Yellowstone Conference Center
7:15-7:30 pm: 'Twas the Night Before Christmas reading in the Huntley Sunken Lobby
8:00 pm: Torchlight Parade down Adesite Mountain. Look for Santa!
On Christmas Day, Big Sky Chapel will have two services. St. Joseph's Catholic Mass will be held at 8:00 a.m. and All Saints in Big Sky, a shared ministry of the Episcopal and Lutheran (ELCA) Churches, will also hold a service at 9:30 a.m. If you didn't make it to Town Center to go ice skating on Christmas Eve or want to ice skate another say, head to the Big Sky Ice Rink for opening skating from noon to 10:00 p.m. Aftwards, head to Rainbow Ranch for a Christmas dinner which starts at 5:30 p.m. Then, finish your night at Big Sky Resort and watch A Christmas Carol at 6 p.m. in the Amphitheater located in the Yellowstone Conference Center.
