Fall is a fantastic time of year. This fun season is usually when we all gather fire wood, enjoy the magnificent fall foliage, and watch the snow start to blanket the peaks in a beautiful blanket of white. Thursday, September 22, 2016 marked the first day of Fall, but mark your calendars for Sunday, October 16, 2016 because you’re invited to the 1st annual Big Sky Community Fall Festival at the Big Sky Community Park.
Join the Big Sky Community Organization and the Big Sky Chamber of Commerce for this new community event that celebrates the Fall season. Mark your calendars now to make sure you can attend. It’s going to be fun for all ages.
10k Trail Run – 10:30am – The race will begin and end at the Big Sky Community Park and will consist of 3-laps on the Black Diamond and Little Willow Way Trails. Register online at RaceMontana.com for $35. Entrance fee includes a free stainless steel pint glass filled with beer (after you cross the finish line).
Great Pumpkin Giveaway – 11:30 to 2:30 – The Big Sky Chamber of Commerce presents this annual event where every kid can visit the pumpkin patch and pick a pumpkin of their choice to take home.
Hay Rides – 11:30 to 2:30 – Lone Mountain Ranch is offering horse drawn wagon rides for kids and families.
Activity Booths – 11:30 to 2:30 – Between hay rides and pumpkin picking, kids can visit different activity booths set up around the park. These booths will include bobbing for apples, pumpkin decorating, and other seasonal goodness. Each booth will be sponsored by a different local nonprofit.
