Montana Shakespeare in the Parks will perform the Merry Wives of Windsor at 5:30 p.m. in Town Center Park in Big Sky, on Monday, August 19. This performance is FREE, thanks to the support of the Big Sky Resort Tax Board.
William Shakeseare's Merry Wives of Windsor includes duels, deceit, and attempted seduction in this comedy featuring the beloved Sir John Falstaff. Watch as he tries to fool two clever women and has the tables turned on him instead.
As one of the summer’s most anticipated events in the region, Montana Shakespeare in the Parks brings professional productions, at no cost to the public, to communities throughout Montana, northern Wyoming, eastern Idaho, western North Dakota and eastern Washington. Remarkably self-reliant, the company features 10 professional actors selected by national audition who tour without technical assistance to bring live theatre to communities primarily in rural areas. Montana Shakespeare in the Parks (MSIP) opened its first season in the summer of 1973. Since that time, MSIP has performed over 2,250 times to nearly three quarters of a million people, becoming a mainstay of Montana culture.
There will be no food/beverage vendors at this event, but you are welcome to bring a picnic and/or other food to the park and enjoy a beautiful night of FREE theater in Big Sky!
