In 2013, Big Sky Resort merged with Moonlight Basin Resort, creating the Biggest Skiing in America. With one lift ticket, skiers and riders have more space to ski, more time on the slopes, consistent snowfall, a variety of terrain, and the 11,166 foot Lone Peak experience. Now part of the IKON Pass and Mountain Collective product offerings.

Lone Mountain Ranch

During the winter months, the National Geographic designated Unique Lodge of the World, Lone Mountain Ranch specializes in Nordic ski adventure vacations. It has been voted the #1 Nordic Ski Resort in North America by Cross Country Skier magazine and features 85 km of groomed trails, snowshoe trails, sleigh ride dinners, and guided tours into Yellowstone National Park. It's an ORVIS-endorsed fly fishing lodge that offers guided fly fishing trips year round. The Horn & Cantle restaurant and The Saloon both on-site offer guests creative Montana fare and an extensive selection of wine and beer.

Lone Mountain Ranch is perfect for the experienced Nordic skier, but also offers lessons and guidance for those who are looking to learn more about the sport. Instruction is available for groups and individuals of all ability levels.
