Skiing Big Sky Resort
Located in Southwest Montana, Big Sky is lucky to be its own ski town. There are many activities right in town and at Big Sky Resort – hint skiing and snowboarding. Big Sky is home to THE BIGGEST SKIING IN AMERICA with 5,800 acres of skiable terrain and 4,350 feet of vertical spanning across four different mountains, plus were known for no-wait lift lines! You can take in the view of 3 states and 2 national parks from the top of Lone Peak at 11,166 feet. Take the mid-mountain tram up and either ski down or enjoy the scenic ride back down. Big Sky Resort has the best mix of terrain:

Whether it’s making your first parallel turn or completing a full twist off a rail, learning how to ski or snowboard can be big time fun. Lessons are offered for beginners needing extra confidence or experts wanting to improve their technical skills. BIG SKY RESORT offers individual or group lessons on varied terrain. BIG SKY BACK COUNTRY GUIDES and MONTANA ALPINE GUIDES also offers back country guided experiences.
Lessons & Rentals
Our ski resorts are great for never-ever skiers or ones who need a tune up.
Big Sky Resort offers a wide range of private, group, and children ski/snowboard lessons and mountain guides to the Biggest Skiing in America. Group lessons are a great opportunity to improve your skills and meet like skiers during your winter vacation. Big Sky Resort also offers local and specialty clinics.
Full-day Adult Group Lessons range from $152 - $205 per day
Full-day Youth Group Lessons are $172 per day
Private Lessons are available for both children and adults and range from $320 for a 2-hr lesson to $715 for a full day.

Lone Mountain Ranch's PSIA-certified instructors welcome guests of all abilities. Whether you're just beginning and want to learn the basics or are looking for more advanced instruction, their instructors are here to help you meet your individual goals and enhance your enjoyment of the sport.
Group (1.5 hour) $45/ person
Private (1 hour) $70/ 1st person and $35/each additional person added to the same private lesson
First Timer Package $65/ person (includes group lesson, rental and trail fees)
