EGGS & ISSUES
Eggs & Issues | Gallatin–Madison Joint County Commission Meetings is a, two-part forum designed to advocate for our members and strengthen local governance. The program opens with Eggs & Issues, a focused discussion on a key community challenge aligned with the Big Sky Chamber’s Strategic Priorities. Immediately after, the Joint County (Gallatin and Madison) and BSRAD meeting convenes, where Big Sky’s locally elected officials meet to act on relevant and timely issues that affect our community.
This FREE event welcomes all engaged Big Sky community members interested in learning more or advocating for local issues and regional governance. You can get involved simply by attending the forum or by supporting the event through sponsorship. 2026 Eggs & Issues
Topic: Living with Wildfire: Risk, Resilience, and Our Economic Future
Description: Wildfire is not just a safety concern, it is an economic one. Join us for a conversation on how Big Sky and Southwest Montana are vulnerable, what that means for local businesses and livelihoods, and how we can take action to reduce risk before disaster strikes. The discussion will be led by Kelly Pohl, Associate Director at Headwaters Economics and a Gallatin Valley native who specializes in community wildfire resilience and recreation based economies. The program begins with Eggs and Issues, followed by the Joint County and BSRAD meeting, where local elected officials address timely community issues.
