Every fall, Big Sky, Montana, transforms into a vibrant celebration of German culture, community spirit, and festive fun. Big Sky Oktoberfest is more than just a party—it’s a cultural experience with heart and purpose.

History & Purpose
Founded in 2023 by local residents, Big Sky Oktoberfest brings the warmth and tradition of Bavarian culture to the mountains of Montana. Inspired by the iconic German celebration, the event features beer, bratwurst, music, and games—all set against the stunning backdrop of Big Sky’s Town Center.
But Oktoberfest in Big Sky is more than just a party. It was created with a mission: to support youth sports and organizations in our community. The festival also marked the launch of the Big Sky Youth Alliance, a nonprofit initiative that funds local youth programs.
Each year, proceeds benefit local youth organizations. In 2025, beneficiaries include Big Sky Futbol Club and Big Sky Ski Education Foundation.
This blend of cultural celebration and community impact makes Big Sky Oktoberfest a uniquely meaningful event for locals and visitors alike.
