FLYING TO BIG SKY
Flying to Big Sky is more convenient than ever, thanks to the extensive network at Bozeman Yellowstone International Airport (BZN). BZN is Montana's busiest travel hub. Enjoy nonstop flights from 19 cities and 20 airports, ensuring a smooth and efficient journey to your Montana adventure.
For those traveling during the summer, the Yellowstone Airport (WYS) in West Yellowstone, Montana, offers seasonal routes from May to October. A much smaller airport with limited services, WYS has direct flights from Salt Lake City on Delta Airlines and Denver on United Airlines. This airport is conveniently located just two miles from the west entrance to Yellowstone National Park and about 50 miles from Big Sky.
GETTING FROM THE AIRPORT TO BIG SKY
The drive from the Bozeman airport to Big Sky is a part of the Montana experience. The City of Bozeman and the Bozeman airport are about an hour's drive from Big Sky along Montana Highway 191 through the Gallatin Canyon. This scenic two-lane highway follows the Gallatin River and offers plenty of opportunities to spot wildlife, including elk, big horn sheep, eagles, and more. At the airport, travelers can rent a car or schedule a pickup using public/private transportation options. We recommend making reservations well in advance.
