You’ve come to the mountains…with your bike or just rented the latest model at a local shop. At Big Sky, trails of all levels are waiting to be explored.
For mountain biking, easy off-road trails are found in the meadow and from Town Center to Ousel Falls trailhead. Moonlight Basin offers Ulery’s Lake Loop and South Side trail. For intermediate and expert trails, try Reflector, North Fork trail to the Lee Metcalf Wilderness, Yellow Mule or Porcupine. Area shops provide maps. Take a chairlift at Big Sky Resort to access Lone Mountain downhill routes. Spur Road Trail, which is paved, winds from the meadow to the Gallatin Canyon and on to Ophir/Big Sky High School.
Road cyclists can ride up Lone Mountain Trail from Hwy 191 to Big Sky’s mountain resorts. Experience hill climbing at Big Sky Resort and Moonlight Lodge, with the opportunity to descend ten miles. Additional hill climbs can be found in the Aspen Groves and Spanish Peaks area.
No matter what your skill range or riding level, Big Sky has something for you. Summer trail riding is a great way to cover a vast distance and make the best of your time here in the area.
