Quick & Easy On-Mountain Bites

When you want to maximize your time on the slopes, these convenient spots offer delicious food without slowing you down:

  • Hungry Moose - The Moose is the mountain's grocery store in the Exchange. The deli makes delicious pre-made sandwiches and offers hot-box options that are perfect for a quick refuel.

  • Yeti Dogs - Located in the Mountain Village in the Snowcrest Building, Yeti Dogs serves the best gourmet hot dogs with all of your favorite toppings. 

  • Uncle Dan's - Located at the base of Madison 8, Uncle Dan's Cookie Hut serves freshly-baked cookies, crispies, bars, and paninis for the perfect on-mountain treat.

  • Shedhorn Grill - The Shedhorn Grill is located near the Shedhorn chairlift. Stop by the yurt and enjoy something off the outdoor grill while soaking in the sun on the deck.

  • Headwaters Grille - The go-to spot for a hot meal on the north side of Big Sky Resort is the Headwaters Grille. They offer plenty of grab-n-go options and have a full bar too. 

  • Vista Hall - Featuring expansive indoor and outdoor seating, the Vista Hall offers a variety of cuisine options in a casual setting, from pizza and burgers to poke bowls.

 


 

Elevated Lunch Experiences

For those looking to make lunch a highlight of the day, these restaurants offer exceptional cuisine and atmospheres:

  • Everett's 8800 - At the top of Andesite Mountain, Everett's 8800 is open to both skiers and foot traffic for lunch. In addition to fine dining, Everett's 8800 offers stunning views and a large deck that's perfect for catching some springtime rays. Reservations are recommended.

  • The Landing - Enjoy American alpine cuisine and fresh local ingredients at The Landing at One&Only Moonlight Basin, with sweeping views of Montana's mountain landscape and access via gondola.

  • Backcast Bar and Grill - Shake off the cold from the slopes and enjoy a hot bowl of ramen paired with a craft cocktail at Backcast Bar & Grill at the Montage Resort. This ski-in/ski-out option is perfect for enjoying a mid-day meal with great views. 

  • Westward Social - A Big Sky classic, this après ski hot spot features craft cocktails, live DJs, and views of Lone Peak. Located just steps from the slopes in the Exchange, Westward Social serves elevated Montana farm-to-table comfort food. 

 


 

Traditional Favorites

These Big Sky staples have been fueling skiers for years with hearty, satisfying meals:

  • Montana Jack - Located in the Exchange at the Big Sky Resort Mountain Village, Montana Jack serves craft burgers and craft beers in a lively taphouse setting with live music weekly.

  • Scissorbills Saloon - Scissorbills is adored by locals as an après ski spot, but they also have a tasty lunch menu in this small, privately owned Montana saloon set on the third floor of the Arrowhead Mall. 

  • The Cabin Bar & Grill -  Also located on the third floor of the Arrowhead Mall, The Cabin Bar & Grill is easy to ski to via Silverknife. The Cabin's menu includes authentic Montana soups, sandwiches, and entrees.
