Whitewater Rafting

Take on the wild and scenic Gallatin River

Whitewater Rafting

Experienced river guides can take you for half-day (3 hours) or full-day (6 hours) raft trips on some exciting and challenging whitewater sections. Think wave trains and big rides. Here’s a tip: for an experience to remember, ask about the Mad Mile!

For a more laid back experience, try a scenic float on one of the Gallatin River’s mellower stretches. Depending on the time of year the Gallatin has everything from Class I – IV+ rapids!

Scenic Float

A gentle cruise. Class I – II

Upper Whitewater

Not as rough, but wet! Class II – III

Lower Whitewater

Most exciting. Class III – IV

Preparing for your adventure

  • In order to ensure the safety of your kids, most have a minimum age requirement around 6 years old. This could differ depending on the severity of the rapids.
  • Group or private tours are available.
  • Most raft trips depart between 9:00 a.m. and 4:00 p.m. every day. Depending on the water level, raft trips usually begin mid-May and end in early to mid-September.
