Welcome to Montana, where cell reception is limited, weather can change in an instant, and wildlife is WILD! 

1. Have a plan and know your limits
2. Be prepared for limited cell service.  Download any directions and maps ahead of time. 
3. Plan for unpredictable weather.  Be prepared with a variety of layers to change into and appropriate footwear. 
4. Pack appropriately. Bring essential gear necessary for your adventure including water, bear spray, sunscreen etc. 
5. Inform someone of your plans. Share your itinerary with a friend or family member, including your destination and expected return time.
