Know Before You Go: 

Heading out on an adventure in Big Sky means taking responsibility for your safety.  Plan ahead and be prepared. 

  • Know your limits. Play it safe and turn around if you're unsure if you have the stamina or the right gear to continue.
  • Pack for changing weather conditions, even during the summer months. 
  • Be bear aware and carry bear spray.  Bear spray rentals are available at our Visitor Center (88 Ousel Falls Road Unit B1).
  • Bring plenty of water and download any maps, directions, and intel in advance.
