One&Only’s First Resort in the US Brings a New Era of Luxury to Big Sky
One&Only will debut its first U.S. resort with the launch of One&Only Moonlight Basin in Big Sky, introducing a new level of ultra-luxury to one of America’s most spectacular mountain destinations. Set on a breathtaking 8,000-acre alpine landscape surrounded by protected wilderness, the resort will include 73 guest rooms and suites, 19 guest cabins, 62 private homes, 8 private estate lots, and six resort buildings. Designed to offer an elevated year-round mountain experience, the property will feature three signature restaurants, a dedicated ski lodge, and the first-ever Chenot Spa in the United States. A gondola will provide direct access between the resort and Big Sky Resort, offering seamless connectivity to world-class skiing. The resort will open in November 2025, setting a new benchmark for refined adventure in the American West.
Gravity Haus Expands to Montana with Opening of Gravity Haus Big Sky
In July 2025, Gravity Haus expanded its lifestyle hotel and social club concept into Montana with the opening of Gravity Haus Big Sky, following the acquisition and transformation of The River Rock Lodge. Located in Big Sky Town Center, the reimagined property features 29 fully renovated guest rooms, an on-site restaurant and bar, a fitness center, and a modern coworking space with hot desks and meeting rooms. The hotel also introduces Terrain Taco, Unravel Coffee, and a robust lineup of member programming, from adventure-driven meetups and networking events to wellness and community-focused experiences.

Big Sky Resort Introduces All-Glass Scenic Viewing Platform
Perched at 11,166 feet, Kircliff is a marvel of modern architecture and engineering, offering guests an unparalleled way to experience Lone Peak. For the first time, visitors of all ages, whether on foot or skis, can step into a stunning glass enclosure at the summit and take in views once reserved only for the most adventurous. Integrated into the new Lone Peak Tram’s top terminal, the all-glass viewing platform delivers a breathtaking 360-degree perspective of the surrounding mountains. With panoramic windows and a glass floor that drops straight down the fall line of Lone Mountain, the platform creates an immersive scenic experience unlike any other. On clear days, the vista stretches across three states including Montana, Idaho, and Wyoming and reveals both Yellowstone and Grand Teton National Parks. The new Lone Peak Tram debuted in the 2023–24 season.
High-Speed Explorer Gondola Launches Winter 2025–26
Big Sky Resort is redefining the modern mountain experience with the debut of the Explorer Gondola, set to open for the 2025–26 winter season. This high-speed, 10-person gondola will connect the Mountain Village base area to the new Lone Peak Tram, creating a seamless, top-to-bottom lift experience for skiers and sightseers alike. With enclosed cabins, panoramic windows, and direct access to the new food and après destination at the Explorer top terminal, the gondola is more than just a lift; it’s a bold new chapter in guest access, comfort, and design.
Culinary Icon Grant Achatz Takes Residency in Big Sky
Big Sky Resort will host M by The Alinea Group, a four-month restaurant residency launching this winter as part of The Alinea Group’s 20th Anniversary World Tour. M by The Alinea Group presents a seasonal menu that fuses European culinary precision with the elemental character of Montana’s landscape. Every dish is a reflection of place, crafted with intention, inspired by the winter terrain, and rooted in locally sourced ingredients.
Iglu at Big Sky Resort: A Cool New Après-Ski Experience
Big Sky Resort will debut an exciting new alpine experience in February 2026 with the opening of the 'Iglu at Big Sky Resort.' The Iglu will feature seating for approximately 60 guests inside its sculpted snow walls, with additional outdoor seating available to take in the surrounding mountain views. A carefully curated beverage menu will complete the experience, making it the perfect spot to relax and celebrate after a day on the slopes.
