NORDIC SKIING
Big Sky’s winter playground isn't just about the peaks; it’s also about the quiet beauty of our valleys and forests. Cross-country skiing here is where you find that perfect mix of energy and serenity. With over 85 kilometers of expertly groomed trails, you have endless space to explore, moving across stunning meadows and through sheltered woods. It's a fantastic way to get a workout while also experiencing the quiet of our winter wonderland as you glide along.
If you've never been on Nordic skis, you need not worry. There are plenty of beginner-friendly trails and places like Big Sky Resort's Nordic Center is the perfect spot to learn from a knowledgeable guide. Bringing along your furry friend? Take them with you! The Big Sky Community Organization manages and maintains several trails throughout Big Sky, with dog-friendly options available. As always, please be mindful and follow all posted signage at the trailhead.
