Skiing and snowboarding at Big Sky Resort is the main event in Big Sky—and for good reason. With over 5,800 acres of skiable terrain, it’s one of the largest ski resorts in North America and was recently named the #1 ski resort in the West by SKI Magazine. From perfectly groomed runs and wide-open bowls to legendary steeps like the Big Couloir, there’s something for every level of skier and rider. Big Sky’s state-of-the-art lift system makes accessing the mountain seamless, while the resort’s commitment to sustainability ensures that these pristine peaks and powder days will be enjoyed for generations to come.

Where can I purchase lift tickets?

Lift tickets can be purchased at the ticket offices located at the Mountain Village and at Madison Base. For the best prices, book lift tickets in advance online, purchasing multi-day tickets will give you more savings.

All Big Sky Resort lift tickets are now loaded onto a reusable RFID Sky Card. If you've purchased your tickets online in advance, you can head to a Sky Card Express Station to scan your QR code and print your pass.

What if I already have a sky card?

If you already have a Sky Card from a previous visit, you can load your new lift ticket or season pass onto the card at checkout online.

Does my lift ticket include tram access?

Starting winter 2024-25, all lift tickets include unlimited access to the Lone Peak Tram on the day of your ticket.

*Ikon , Mountain Collective , Boyne Sister Resort free ski days, and certain Big Sky Resort Season Passes do not include tram access.

Can I purchase a half-day lift ticket?

Half-Day lift tickets are availablefrom 1 pm - 4 pm. Half-day tickets are ONLY available for same-day purchase starting at 12:30 pm.
